One thing I do recall from the last time we had the Preds as an opponent in the playoffs is that their fans are awesome.  They were a classy group and really didn't talk shit about the Canucks other than friendly banter.  Hopefully that hasn't changed as I have had a ton of respect for the Preds and their fans since then.

Honestly, I think he does.  He loves to play as much as possible.  How many guys do you see take shifts as long as he does and still be effective on the ice?

No, not everyone was in a forgiving mood. Many were willing to overlook the way Kesler left, but many were not. Some saw it as an unforgivable act of desertion of his teammates in order to serve his own purposes. Some did not. It is possible for both points of view to be true.

We will see. I can't imagine the Canucks taking them lightly though. Canucks have had some humbling moments to close out the season and I'm sure Tocchet will remind them of it.

Ya. Any fans taking any team or series lightly doesn't get sports or the current NHL climate. Man, never seen so much parity in the NHL.

He was at another level vs Nashville. Too bad Kes was skating on one leg in the finals. Kesler was a hell of a hockey player.

This is a much more cohesive Nashville team so I can also see the Canucks losing the series - not a guaranteed outcome by any stretch.

 

I think the Canucks' bigger defence core could make the difference in the series provided they don't take too many penalties. I also think we could see EP start showing more life, and Lindholm could be a major difference if he's still playing in a 3C role.

Whether or not EP and EL step up is what will determine this series.

Don't need Kesler and his insecurities. This team has a much superior player that does more than Kes did and with more consistency.
