I don't think he'll be down for long playing like this!

It’s better getting games in than playing a limited role.  The frustrating part is you’d like to see him in the best league possible so even playing allsvenskan would be better than a league he will dominate physically in.  When injuries pop up hopefully gets meaningful playing time in SHL

Love management's proactive approach!!!  Imagine if previous regime were more like this with Podz!!!!

Slightly different situation - teams in Sweden are willing partners with the NHL teams, working together to find solutions that work for both sides. KHL teams and owners (especially Rottenberg in SKA St Petersburg) doing everything possible to prevent their young players from leaving for North America. Cases in point - Fedotov and now Mitchkov. Podkolzin's low playing minutes and demotions to the youth leagues were entirely linked to the fact that he didn't want to sign an extension with SKA and was clear on wanting to leave for NHL. There was no one willing to cooperate on the russian side.

Fair enough... Would just like to know, with this current regime, if given the same circumstance of drafting him in 2019, if they'd have a better plan to deal with the very well known treatment of draft eligible Russian players that want to play in  the NHL.  Seems to me Benning never really planned much for the future and development.  All a moot point now... Thank God!
