Appreciate your patience, my apologies in the delay.  I've taken a bit of a mental break after the deadline, just getting back going before the end of season.

ThatMike was correct, all players are 2 years from when they were drafted, we don't differentiate between CHL or college players.

Also, while I'm posting, just completed all the updates that were pending, and we are all caught up!

No problems brother, I know your work schedule takes you away from home at times.

Hope every is good with you and your loved ones.

The Salty Dogs next year then eh? meh, but it beats "Salt Lake City SisterWives or the Utah Smiths. Oh mai, there are going to be a lot of jokes. Utah is estimated to be home to about 3 million people and between 45 and 60% of them are Mormons.

The Seattle Kraken Three Stars for the month of April !!
Season's End Edition:

First Star:  Evgeni Malkin! running away with it at 66 points in the final Month of the season!

Second Star: Gustav Forsling 42 points to end the year

Third Star: Kevin Fiala 38 points

Honourable Mention: JT Compher just misses a star with 35 points.

Seattle Kraken 3 stars of the Season:

FIRST STAR OF THE SEASON: Kevin Fiala: 9 star points (397 points this year)

SECOND STAR OF THE SEASON: Gustav Forsling: 9 star points (390 points this year)

THIRD STAR OF THE SEASON: Jacob Markstrom: 7 star points (310 points this year)

Honourable Mentions

Evgeni Malkin: 6 star points (381 points this year)

JT Compher: 4 star points (284 points this year)

Gustav Nyquist: 3 star points (379 points this year)

Boone Jenner: 3 star points ( 203 points this year)

Danton Heinen: 3 star points ( 146 points pre-trade)

Every month's stars were awarded 3 points for 1st, 2 for 2nd and 1 for third star of the month, in order to compile our Three Stars of the Year in Seattle. While Markstrom was out for almost two months, he managed some great work in the full months he backstopped our club. Arguably, had he been healthy all year we may have nudged CGY by the deadline and reached the playoffs for a second strait year with me as GM. We fell 300+ points behind CGY, however the metrics prior to the deadline had us making headway until certain assets were traded off and some youngsters were sent for a bit more seasoning in the minors to end the year. I feel if we were healthy, we would be nominally in the dance, although with a weak hand.
Next year is going to be awesome.

I believe this is another first round matchup with @da.moose's Washington Capitals. If so I expect it to be a battle right to the end. This year the Capitals have arguably the deepest Playoff roster and that team depth at all positions will be a challenge to beat out. Best of luck in round one!

End of Year exit interviews have been completed and the lockers have been cleaned out in Climate Pledge Arena. We are anxious to get rolling on next years battle and have recently contacted the Prospects Agent regarding a full 10 ELC offers. At this time we would like to announce our released players and thank them for being a part of the journey. Hockey in Seattle has been a brilliant success at every level, and despite failing to reach the playoffs this year, we are confident that the moves made since taking over the club back in late October 2022 have fully fleshed out our depth, added some top calibre prospects and maximized the first draft of my tenure, last summer. The future is bright, and relative to the Pacific Division, we honestly didn't miss by much this year. A decision had to be made at the deadline to push to catch Calgary or Edmonton, which would have cost us prospects and picks, 'the future', as they say. Conversely, the decision was made to hold tight, move off some trade bait for gains, like Buffalo's first in the coming draft, and build patiently from within, while adding from trade offers I can't refuse.

Thank you for your talents and efforts, to the following players, who have been released from the Seattle Kraken at seasons end:

Topi Ronni; Drafted in the 4th round of the GML 2022 entry draft, we will not be extending Topi an ELC contract, as he has run afoul of the law and was convicted of Rape in his native Finland.

Robert Hagg; Robert has been surpassed on the depth chart and is now a UFA having come to the end of his contract with the Kraken.

Jack Lafontaine; an RFA this summer, we have decided to move in a different direction between the pipes in our organizational depth.

Ryan Murray; injuries have cut short this stalwart defenders pro career, having come to the end of his contract we will not be making an offer.

Logan Brown; injuries have also curtailed this RFA center man, his contract has now run its course and we will not be making a qualifying offer.

Cooper Marody; With 1 point in 7 NHL games, Cooper's contract comes to an end with him age 27, and seemingly unable to break out of his AHL self.

Mike Hoffman; acquired in a deadline trade, Mike has been informed he is a free agent as we do not plan to make an offer to the 34 year old winger.

These incredible athletes can hold their heads high as the envy of every one of us, who never got a fraction as close to living the dream as these men have achieved.
thank you and all the best in your future endeavours.

This of course opens a whole lot of contract space to accommodate our 2022 drafted prospects, and today we made ELC offers to fully ten of them(four of whom were brought here by me via trades). Additionally, over the past year or two my administration has added 11 contracted players to our depth. 6 of our 19 remaining Roster Players were also acquired during my tenure. The future of Hockey in Seattle is SOUND.
