I wouldn't be a member if I did not. My interactions with the Agents are always cordial and respectful, and as I have stated, I appreciate all the work that the various members have put in over the years to make this league a reality. My fellow GM @MatchesMalone and I have a plan, the basis of which is building through the draft. We will bring success to Detroit, which is one of the storied ( original six ) franchises in the league. You never have any need to apologise Mike. Both Curt and you are the heart and soul of this league. This is a game. Game's are meant to be fun. After dispatching the Arizona Coyotes in a clean four-game sweep, the Avs set their sights on the Winnipeg Jets, a team with a history of playoff heartbreak. On paper, this series seems like a mismatch, with the Avalanche boasting a firepower that could melt the Manitoba ice. The Avalanche offense has been a force to be reckoned with all season long, and that hasn't changed in the playoffs. Valeri Nichushkin, who missed time this season due to some personal off-ice issues, has seamlessly fit back into the top six, putting up points alongside superstars like Mike Zibanejad and Jason Robertson. "We've got a group in here that can score from all over the lineup," said Avalanche forward Jake Guentzel. "We're not a one-line team, and that makes us tough to match up against. We just need to keep playing our game, and the goals will come." The Jets, meanwhile, are heavy underdogs. Losing starting goaltender Thatcher Demko to a lower-body injury was a massive blow to their chances. Without Demko between the pipes, it's hard to imagine where the Jets will find a matchup edge that they can exploit. Offensively, the Jets will need a superhuman effort from Elias Pettersson, who has been uncharacteristically quiet throughout the playoffs. "It's a big win for us," Penguins Evan Bouchard said after the victory. "We know these games are tight, and getting production from all over the lineup is key." Leading the charge for Pittsburgh has been a trio of familiar faces: Brandon Montour, Elias Lindholm, and Roope Hintz. Yeah, it was a smaller pie, but I didn't get a gamey aftertaste at all on account of the sauce and maybe even the bacon. They were small, so I also had a Bison and Spicy Peanut savoury pie that was like eating at a Thai place... they were both great, but that was my first time with Kangaroo. I enjoyed it. I had planned on doing a big write up talking about the excitement of the Anaheim fans and how excited we are for the opportunity. I have a feeling though many of you already know of our excitement on this end. I wanted to say thank you to all the General Managers who participated in the expansion vote. Even if you didn't vote in favour I appreciate your participation in the league. I would like to say I am thrilled to be back. It has been about a year since I departed last off-season. I am thoroughly excited to be back and have missed you guys! On the topic of the expansion draft. We currently have no draft strategy in place. I believe the direction we will go will largely depend on the caliber of players available to us in the expansion process. There will be some teams unaffected by the expansion process as 1/3 (10/30 Franchises) will not lose a player in the process. As the Ducks are only able to draft 20 players. This is a uniquely fun challenge and I can't wait to get started! If by chance you have a player you want to move off due to salary we would be willing to listen on how that might look in your eyes. We would like to field a semi-competitive team but expansion may not allow that. We will be looking to add depth via trade/free agency. Guys maybe on the fringe or prospects maybe a year or two out. We intend on keeping our team's 1st Round Pick. As a general rule of thumb I would like to keep our first each year. I love the draft and the best way to stay in love with your squad is by adding exciting young talent! With that said though... If we happen to pick up another first or seconds along the way. We would be very open to moving them out to add some young talent. If by chance you don't want to risk losing players via the expansion process. I would be open to hearing offers of picks or youth to not touch your contender roster. I will be available on Discord and/or CFF if you wish to have some preliminary dialogue. Thank you again everyone for having me back! I am excited to be here and the Ducks are in good hands with our new ownership group. I don't see this team going under the water anytime soon!
