Everyone is writing off the Canucks but I do believe we are strong defensive team. Skinner is not Saros (not by a long shot), they don't have a Josi or McDonagh. Yes, their offense is fantastic but if the Canucks can find a way to stiffle their offense, we have a very good chance to take this series. Draisaitl & McDavid also easily get frustrated if they can't produce and especially Draisaitl starts then to take stupid penalties. I am cautiously optimistic but I do realize we could be disappointed. The Oilers are a good team but the Canucks are as well even though the media doesn't think so. They were swept by Vegas last year and I know they have made some changes but there is a ton of holes in their game. They were easily Vegas' easiest competition last year of all 4 series. And while they made some changes they still have a shit bottom 6, shit defense, shit goaltending. I think we will surprise the hockey world and dispatch them in 4, 5 tops. I hate the oh they had problem with Nashville bs. Nashville was a good team with a ton of playoff experience. There's nobody on the oilers that plays like Ryan O'Reilly or Roman Josi. It's not the 80s anymore, you can't just outscore your problems. Besides these Oilers can't hold the 80s Oilers jock straps. Go Canucks Go!! DownUndaCanuck Posted May 8 Share Posted May 8 Big game, there was some crazy 2nd round stat showing a big majority of teams who win the first game win the round so really have to come out strong despite losing our last 2 home games. McDavid is surely going to be fired up, I'll be interesting to see how open this game is or whether we can lock it down Nashville-style.
