Canuck You Posted February 8 Posted February 8 But with what cap space, Someone's gonna have to move and our bottom 6 is looking mighty fine. Quote

JayDangles Posted February 8 Posted February 8 Depending on how in shape Kessel is, and team chemistry a top 6 of Kessel Miller Boeser Pettersson Lindholm Mikheyev Looks pretty good... Garland Blueger Joshua Hoglander Suter Lafferty Aman Quote
Popular Post Odjickwillkillyou Posted February 8 Popular Post Posted February 8 Can you imagine our first SC in franchise history and the Thrill is hoisting it on the ice and then eating gut rockets out of it after only playing for three months? 6 1 2 Quote
EternalCanuckFan Posted February 8 Posted February 8 Can't see a great fit with Kessel but wouldn't mind the team bringing him either, especially if the cost for a rental is just too much for the Canucks' future. For as much as it's easy to make fun of Kessel, he has a lot of experience on winning teams. 1 Quote

Yes, that'd be four-time Stanley Cup Champion Phil Kessel 1 2 1 Quote
EdgarM Posted February 8 Posted February 8 Are we that desperate already? I would much rather we go after a big winger with some physical presence, ala Joshua IMHO. 1 1 Quote
Bob Long Posted February 8 Posted February 8 Phil could be a genius move. Having some more scoring options could help fend off any mini slumping in the playoffs. 4 Quote

Dom Posted February 8 Posted February 8 I honestly wouldn't mind if he comes aboard. He has played for Tocchet & Rutherford. He has a TON of playoff experience, and knows what it takes to win. 1 1 Quote

nux_win Posted February 8 Posted February 8 I'd bring him in as insurance in case an offensive player gets injured but I don't see him taking a regular spot with everyone healthy. GCG! 1 1 Quote

GCG! This is the MOST he could provide for us. When was the last time the dude played hockey? Quote

He was scratched because he didn't fit in Vegas' bottom 6. We'd be acquiring him to play top 6 minutes and be the trigger man of the 2nd unit alongside Hronek. This frees Suter up to play better matchups, and gives us more options and flexibility down the stretch. IF he's in good shape, this could be worth a shot. That's TONS of playoff experience that could be incredibly valuable in such a young locker room. 4 4 Quote
